A 70 year old man died Saturday after the Toyota Venza he was driving hit a concrete power pole on Route 4-A in Talafofo near the Onward Golf Club.

Guam police spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao reports that it happened just before 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The vehicle was headed southbound when it crossed over the northbound lane and collided with the power pole.

There were three other passengers along with the 70 year old who was driving the vehicle.

All four sustained injuries and were transported to Naval Hospital for treatment.

The 70-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at naval hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The name of the victim has not been released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
