76-Circle K Intros Guam App Which Make Still Pictures Come to Life

Guam –  They were one of the first on island to use QR Code technology in their promotions and advertising. Now, 76-Circle K will be launching the latest and most exciting program in smartphone technology known as “Augmented Reality.”
“Augmented Reality links content with visual imagery. Simply put, it turns still photos into moving pictures. 76-Circle K is bringing this exciting technology to local customers, aptly named, the 76 Circle K Guam App and can be downloaded on your mobile device by visiting www.76circlekguam.com,” said Mike Hernandez, VP Marketing/Retail Operations.

“Imagine being able to magically wave your phone over a newspaper ad or magazine cover or cardboard display at one of our stores and you see it come to life, talk, move, as if you’re watching a movie instead of looking at a picture. With the 76 Circle K Guam App, there’s no need to imagine any longer. That technology is here and 76-Circle K is giving it to you for free,” Hernandez added.

According to Hernandez, this is how the Mobile App works:

* Download the 76 Circle K Guam App from www.76circlekguam.com on your mobile device
* Find the app icon marker at 76 locations, magazines and online
* Scan the still images with the mobile app
* Watch them Virtually Come Alive
* Discover Special Promotions
* Win Contests and Giveaways

76 will be launching the App this Friday, March 8, during PXC 36 at the UOG Fieldhouse. 76 will be giving away promotional items at the event including $1-Off coupons on Nathan’s Footlong hotdogs to everyone who downloads the App on their mobile device.

“Augmented reality is a relatively new digital phenomenon and we’re absolutely proud to be the first to bring this to Guam. We think our customers are going to enjoy our 76 Circle K Guam App and might even win some contests and prizes along the way,” Hernandez stated.
