What’s it like to be elderly and fall victim to COVID-19?
92-year-old Elvera Cagle recently recovered from that experience.
She was fortunate to have a relatively mild case of the disease and she was able to recover at home with other family members who remained free of the virus.
In this video recorded and released to the media by the Department of Public Health and Social Services, Elvera and her daughter Jackie Nagencast spoke about the trauma of falling victim to and then recovering from COVID-19.

“Then they called and said I was positive,” Elvera said.
The family thanked God and the staff at Public Health for helping Elvera recover from COVID-19.
