A Man Arrested For Retail Theft and Theft of Motor Vehicle

Jermaine Tanamee was arrested for the following:
Theft of a motor vehicle as a 2nd-degree felony, theft of property, and destruction of evidence.

According to the Guam Police Department – on July 13th Central Precinct Officers initiated a Retail Theft complaint that occurred at the Benson Hardware Store in the village of Maite.

The hardware’s surveillance footage went viral on social media depicting a man in what appeared to be a baseball hat and blue t-shirt walking out of the hardware store with several items in hand.

According to an official magistrate’s report – the man, who was later identified to be Taname, left the hardware store with a black tool bag valued at $54.88, a floor jacket valued at $44.99, and a compact drill and hammer set valued at $449.

Moreover, GPD reports that Tanamee was also identified to be a suspect in a 2020 theft of a motor vehicle case.

According to court documents, Tanamee had left major damages to his aunt’s car to the point of it appearing to be inoperable.

Tanamee is reported to be booked and confined at the Department of Corrections.
