A man was convicted to 12 years in prison for robbing a store in Tamuning.
According to the Office of the Attorney General – Eddie Addy was convicted at a jury trial for terrorizing and theft with special allegations – and will have to spend 12 years at the Department of Corrections.
In March – Addy went into a Tamuning store, armed with what appeared to be a black handgun – demanding money and a pack of cigarettes’ from the cashier.
Following Addy’s arrest – GPD confirmed that the handgun was an airsoft gun.
According to the OAG – during the case – testimony was provided that Addy was part of a gang of robbers who routinely targeted small grocery stores.
The May trial – according to the OAG – resulted in the jury finding him guilty of 4 counts of 2nd degree robbery as a 3rd degree felony – 2 counts of 3rd degree robbery – terrorizing – and theft as a 3rd degree felony – and theft as a misdemeanor along with the special allegation for possession or use of a deadly weapon.
