Claudia Acfalle, the Chief Procurement Officer for the government of Guam’s General Service Agency, has been detailed to the Port of Guam where she will serve in an acting capacity as the Corporate Services Manager.
Port General Manager Rory Respicio asked the Director of the Department of Administration, Edward Birn, to detail Acfalle to the port after the port was granted conditional authority to conduct its own procurement.
Respicio says that Acfalle’s primary responsibility will be to provide technical guidance to the port’s procurement staff on the preparation and issuance of procurement packages.
Acfalle was supposed to begin her assignment today but Respicio said she did not report to work. It’s not clear why.
Acfalle will retain her position as Chief Procurement Officer for the duration of her assignment to the port. DOA will continue to pay her salary, but the port will reimburse DOA from its own budget.
Acfalle’s current annual salary at GSA, with benefits, is $111,490.
