Guam – The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network [ACS CAN] has issued a statement applauding Vice-Speaker B.J. Cruz for introducing Bill #384 which would restrict those involved in the sale of tobacco products on Guam from offering discounts, free samples or multi-pack purchase prices.
ACS CAN points out that tobacco remains the number one preventable cause of cancer on Guam and raising the price has proven to be one of the most effective ways to help smokers quit.
The ACS CAN release commends “Vice Speaker Cruz for his work on this bill and look forward to working with the Guam Legislature on this measure.”
