In celebration of Mes Chamorro, C.L. Taitano held their Chamorro Month ceremony this afternoon with special guest Acting Governor Ray Tenorio.

The ceremony began with the children performing the National Anthem, Guam Hymn and an elaborate rendition of the Inifresi.

Amazed by the presentation, Acting Governor Tenorio told the children, “You Deerlings make Guam proud! Although my partner, Governor Eddie Calvo can’t be here, he is out fighting for you — trying to bring back land, money and better education for our people.”

In conjunction with “The Seal: On Tour” project, Acting Governor Tenorio presented the Guam Seal to the students, explaining its significance and history. “This Seal is a great representation of the people of Guam,” Acting Governor Tenorio told the students. “Every element in this Seal embodies the culture, history and language of our island.”
