Acting Governor Tenorio Proclaims November Family Caregivers Month

202

Guam – Family caregivers throughout the island were celebrated this morning for all of the hard work they do for their loved ones. Acting Governor Ray Tenorio proclaimed November Family Caregivers Month at the Large Conference Room at Ricardo J. Bordallo Complex at Adelup.

In attendance were representatives from the Department of Public Health and Social Services Division of Senior Citizens, and Health Services of the Pacific. These hard workers make sure individuals in the aged and disabled community have access to resources, which can help them live their lives fully.

“It’s important that we commend and show gratitude to those people who give of themselves to their loved ones who may have a disease or are too old to care for themselves,” says Acting Governor Tenorio. “The men and women who sacrifice their lives to help their loved ones are unsung heroes within our community and deserve as much recognition as anyone else for their kind hearts and selfless actions.”
