Active shooter scare prompts lock down of Okkodo HS

According to Deputy Superintendent Erika Cruz, an Okkodo School Aide heard gun shots coming from Pipeline Road area at approximately 9:18 this morning.

Guam – Dozens of concerned parents called in to Okkodo High School after the campus briefly experienced a lock down due to a potential active shooter situation.

According to Deputy Superintendent Erika Cruz, an Okkodo School Aide heard gun shots coming from Pipeline Road area at approximately 9:18 this morning.

Cruz says it was the principal who immediately called for a lock down of the school just for safe measure.

“The lockdown was established and GPD was called obviously and at 9:38am GPD gave the all clear for the school to be out of lockdown,” she explained.

According to Cruz, this is now the second lock down for an active shooter scare in the first few months of the academic school year.
