Guam – In hopes of resolving the immediate problems with DPW’s school buses, Senator Tom Ada Chairperson on the committee on transportation, conducted a public hearing Wednesday night. Ada says this is a follow up to the two previous meeting held last month
Ada spearheaded these meetings with members of the legislature, DPW and the public in hopes of finding a solution to the ongoing problems with DPW’s school buses. Ada says the past couple of hearings we have been looking into DPW bus operations as a provider of bus services.
According to Ada, “We are finding out that some of the short coming regarding that operation. tonight is really going to focus just as much as DOE as a consumer of these bus service and making sure those students are brought to school in a timely manner.”
According to Ada, DOE Superintendent Dr Nerissa Underwood will attend tonight’s hearing, to answer questions pertaining to students being brought to school late on a daily basis and the implications of those students losing valuable class hours.
