The Guam Department of Education (GDOE), in collaboration with the College Board, is hosting the Advanced Placement (AP) and College Counseling virtual workshops.
Workshops will run from Tuesday, August 3, 2021, to Friday, August 6, 2021, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. High School AP teachers and coordinators from the public and private non-public schools (PNP) will attend training sessions on the following subjects:
|AP Biology||AP Calculus AB and BC (combined)|
|AP English Language and Literature (combined)||AP U.S. Government and Politics|
|AP Coordinator Workshop||College Counseling Workshop|
This training will provide educators with professional development resources and services to engage students in high-level learning to ensure that every high school student develops the skills, habits of mind, and concepts needed to succeed in college.
The online workshop model includes synchronous and asynchronous modules to explore the AP course and exam description, to discuss what the AP Exam assesses, and to learn how AP Classroom can help plan and focus instruction as well as give data-driven feedback to assess student progress.
