Cars were seen lining up today at Agana Heights to receive emergency food assistance.
Distributions were made at the office of the mayor with staffers physically handing out the food to cars as they approach. They also had sign-in sheets to confirm recipients were residents of Agana Heights.
A total of 1,480 bags of food commodities are to be distributed by the end of this week not just in Agana Heights, but to all villages.
According to GDOE Spokesperson Isa Baza, each distribution is set for each village and recipients must be a resident of the village in order to receive them.
The next TEFAP distribution will take place at Mangilao, Sinajana, and Mongmong-Toto-Maite with MTM doing door-to-door delivery for the elderly and disabled.
On September 10, there will be a drive-through service at MTM and door-to-door delivery at Piti.
