Guam – Guam’s Attorney General’s Office has announced that it has recently learned that its application for federal funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has been approved to fund for at least one year a full-time DUI prosecutor and a full-time paralegal dedicated to reviewing, screening, charging, and prosecuting DUI cases referred from the Guam Police Department.

In a release, the AG says the funding will enhance the Prosecution Division’s ability to cooperate effectively and efficiently with the Guam Police Department and other law enforcement agencies, the Office of Highway Safety of DPW, and the Judiciary toward making Guam’s streets safer.
