Aguon-Limtiaco still wants hand count after machine recount


Guam – After seven hours of recounting ballots, the GEC released the results of the primary election recount.

Leon Guerrero/Tenorio: 8,218

Aguon/Limtiaco: 7,964

The LG-Tenorio team received the same number of votes in the primary election while Aguon-Limtiaco’s number went up by 6 votes.

Aguon-Limtiaco has requested a hand count. Moments ago the Guam Election Commission recessed. They will reconvene on Sept. 5 to discuss Aguon-Limtiaco’s request for a hand count.

The GEC will also meet on Sept. 10 to go over provisional and newly arrived absentee ballots.
