Air Force Enlisted Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide


Guam – Guam Police Thursday arrested Darryl K. Rogers in connection with the November 29th death of a pedestrian at the intersection of  Wusstig Road and Route 1 The 22 year old Air Force enlisted man was driving a 1977 Nissan Sentra when he allegedly stuck and killed Ben Toves as Toves was crossing the road on foot.

Rogers has been charged with vehicular homicide, 5 counts of reckless driving and speeding in a posted zone.

The speed limit along that stretch of  Route 1 is 35 mph.

Guam Highway Patrol Sargent Mike Aguon said that work on the traffic light at the intersection was finished and did not play a role in the accident. However he said speed was a factor, but he declined to say how fast Rogers is estimated to have been traveling.

Rogers has been booked and confined.
