Airport appoints new executive manager; governor’s legal counsel resigns

Ricky Hernandez is now the deputy executive manager at the Guam airport.

There are more personnel transfers and moves within the Leon Guerrero administration.

The Guam International Airport Authority board Friday afternoon approved the appointment of GIAA deputy executive manager John Quinata to the position of executive manager to replace Tom Ada who stepped down at the start of this week.

Ricky Hernandez, Deputy Administrator at the Guam Economic Development Authority, has been confirmed as the airport deputy to replace Quinata.

In addition, Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero’s legal counsel, Haig Hyunh, has resigned.

The Governor’s Chief Policy Advisor Carlo Branch confirmed for PNC News that Hyunh is stepping down to take on a job in the private sector. He could not say what firm.

He said Hyunh would not be taking Ricky Hernandez’s position at the Guam Economic Development Authority.
