Amigos & Crusaders Can’t Close The Deal In BABL Action At Leo Palace

Guam (March 26, 2014) So close and yet far away enough that neither team could seal the deal. It ended up in a 7-7 tie after time expired in a Budweiser Amateur Baseball League (BABL) game at Leo Palace Baseball Stadium between the Chalan Pago Amigos and the Barrigada Crusaders. The Crusaders took a 3-2 lead into the top of the 6th, and that’s when the Amigos scored five runs to take the lead 7-3. The Crusaders got one in the bottom of the 6th to make it a 7-4 ballgame. A critical play in the bottom of the 7th when JR Hattig tried to go for the inside-the-park home run and was gunned down at the plate. Nobody could score for the next three innings, as time expired after nine innings of play.
