AmOrient Pledges $6K to UOG’s Capital Campaign

Guam – John Robertson, President of AmOrient Engineering, committed $6,000.00 to University of Guam’s 60th Anniversary Capital Campaign Monday.

The presentation was made in the UOG President’s Conference Room. Representatives in attendance included UOG President Robert A. Underwood, UOG Endowment Foundation Executive Director Mark Mendiola, and AmOrient Business Manager Mary Jo Pablo.

“We view this as an investment in the University of Guam and the Guam community,” said Mr. Robertson. “Although it may be small, we hope to encourage others in local business to come together and support this important institution.”

“We are very grateful for the support of AmOrient Engineering and their belief in the future of the University,” said Mr. Mendiola. “Students will soon be able to thrive in a new Engineering Building that will support the next generation of engineers in our region.”

Through their donation, AmOrient Engineering will be acknowledged as a “21st-Century Architect” in the Triton Developers program, a fundraising strategy designed to attract different levels of support which can be spread over five years of the capital campaign.

“We believe that the sustainability of the Guam community and local economy is dependent upon the success of the various schools (Business, Nursing, Arts, Science, Engineering, etc.) within the university,” Mr. Robertson said.
