Ana Won Pat-Borja is Legislature’s new legal counsel

Ana Won Pat-Borja takes her oath as the 35th Guam Legislature's new legal counsel.

Ana Won Pat-Borja has been chosen as the 35th Guam Legislature’s new legal counsel.

The selection comes after the exit of the Legislature’s former legislative counsel Attorney Julian Aguon, according to Sen. Regine Biscoe Lee, the chair of the Legislature’s rules committee.

According to Lee, Attorney Won Pat-Borja has served in the lawmaking branch of government’s legal bureau for five years and her nomination was unanimously approved.

Ana’s mother, former Speaker Judi Won Pat, marked the occasion by presenting her daughter with a lei on the Session Floor.

Session continues this morning, with discussion beginning on Bill 198-35 (LS). The measure adopts rules and regulations that allow the Guam Environmental Protection Agency to fund island-wide recycling efforts.
