Andersen Air force Base Public Affairs has identified the active duty Airman that passed away last Wednesday, June 3, as Airman 1st Class Christopher Harrison Fay.

Fay was assigned to the 36th Logistics Readiness Squadron.

In a release, 36th Wing commander, Brig. Gen. Gentry Boswell said, “We are grieving the loss of our Wingman. Losing a member of our team is one of the most difficult things we face. We will stand strong and face this together.  Every member of our team is a member of our Air Force family as well. At this time we are focused on caring for the family, friends and all of the Wingmen touched by Harrison in his time with us.”

Officials sent a release last week, saying an Airman at Andersen Air Force Base was found “unresponsive” in their base quarters on Wednesday afternoon.

The airman, now identified as Christopher Fay, was found at 3:24 p.m. and later “pronounced deceased.”

The cause of death is still under investigation.

AFB Public Affairs says Air Force chaplains, mental health professionals and counselors are available and ready to assist those in need.
