Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB) has released a public advisory stating that effective 12 p.m. today, both its Main and Santa Rosa Gates will be closed until further notice.
The AAFB North Gate will be open 24 hours and individuals entering the base will be required to undergo COVID-19 medical screening prior to entry.
The advisory said that the base is taking all the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and that the safety and well being of everyone on Guam is of utmost importance.
Because of this, those experiencing influenza-like illness or symptoms will be denied access to the base and will be asked to stay home. In addition, the AAFB advises patrons to practice social distancing and limit unnecessary social interactions.
