Ann Marie Arceo replaced; Arlene Santos appointed Director of Department of Chamoru Affairs

Ann Marie Arceo has been replaced at the Department of Chamoru Affairs.

On Monday, June 22, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero, sent Arceo a letter advising that she has been appointed the Administrator of the Commission on Chamoru Language.

“I appreciate your willingness to serve in this position,” wrote the Governor. “I am confident that your time will be spent in a manner to improve the island of Guam.”

Arceo’s appointment became effective immediately.

The Governor’s Press Secretary Krystal Paco-San Agustin told PNC News that Guam Public Library Director Arlene Santos has been appointed to replace Arceo as the Director of the Department of Chamoru Affairs.

Santos’ appointment letter was sent to the Board of the Department of Chamoru Affairs today for their approval, said Paco-San Agustin.

No one has yet been named to replace Santos at the library.
