Guam – Guam Homeland Security and the Office of Civil Defense will be holding its first Responder Wave on Wednesday September 1 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the intersection of Chief Quipuha Park in Hagatna.
September is National Preparedness Month.
To celebrate, Guam Homeland Security and the Office of Civil Defense will be hosting various activities throughout the month to educate and showcase the emergency management and first responder capabilities to the community.
The Annual First Responder Wave will kick off a month long series of activities and all proceeds collected will be donated to the Red Cross.
The island community is asked to join Guam Homeland Security and the Office of Civil Defense, along with the Guam Fire Department, Guam Police Department, Guam Customs and Quarantine, Department of Public Works, The Red Cross and other emergency responder partners in celebrating National Preparedness month.
