Guam – Another team of Airmen from the Guam Air National Guard departed Tuesday morning to start their deployment at different locations in the Southwest Asia area of operations, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Close to 20 Airmen, members of the 254th Force Support Squadron and 254th RED HORSE Squadron will be assigned to the 376th Air Expeditionary Wing, Southwest Asia.
The 254th FSS Airmen’s mission is to provide a wide range of support services functions to include food service, lodging, mortuary affairs, fitness, recreation, field exchange and other support programs.

The Airmen from 254th RHS will be providing support to a program at their area of operations that involves employment of third country nationals.
The teams are expected to return to Guam sometime after September 2012.
Last month, about 120 Airmen from the 254th RHS, 254th FSS and the 254th Comptroller Flight left Guam to deploy to Afghanistan and other locations in Southwest Asia.
