Another Pair of Circulations May Affect Marianas By Weekend

NWS says latest model runs one of the circulations to the far northern Marianas.

Guam –  The National Weather Service is looking into a possibility of another pair of circulations approaching the Marianas sometime between this weekend and next week.

In its Area Forecast Discussion, NWS writes, “Models are in fair agreement on developing a pair of circulations out east of the Marianas and bringing the western circulation weakly into the Marianas late in the week while developing the eastern circulation strongly over the weekend and next week.” In the same statement, the National Weather Service also says that one of the circulations could become a possible threat to the far northern Marianas next week, based on the latest computer models.

However, nothing was specified regarding this possible threat as things could change with such a long range forecast. “For now…will keep a watch on events to our east while expecting the models to change from run to run in handling this complex situation,” NWS concludes.
