Thomas Toves Quichocho Arrested in Connection With Attempted Theft of Handgun From Evidence


Guam – Guam Police have made an arrest in connection with an alleged attempt to steal a .38 handgun from evidence.

GPD PIO Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that detectives with the Criminal Investigations Section arrested 30 year old Tomas Toves Quichocho of Sinajana on Friday, November 18.

He has been charged with Attempted Theft of Property, Tempering with Evidence and Warrant of Arrest. He has been booked and confined.

The incident occured October 14th when the GPD Crime Lab was transferring some of  its evidence from its property room in Tiyan toa new location in Mangilao.

3 parolees were asked to help out. However, during the course of the move, one piece of evidence, a 38-handgun , some-how went missing. Although it was later recovered.

Officer Balajadia says that Quichocho is accused of attempting to steal a weapon evidence while helping Property Section relocate to their new offices. The weapon was recovered before it left the premises, says Balajadia.

Balajadia says that the investigation continues and remains opened.
