Authorities were busy over the Christmas holiday as they tracked down the suspect police say is responsible for stabbing a man in Harmon last Dec. 15.
Police spokesman Sgt Paul Tapao, in a news release, stated that they arrested 35-year-old Arsolo Robert for the attempted murder of a man near the R Daily Mart in Harmon.
Court documents state that the victim was drinking with friends when a man he knew as Carson got mad and stabbed him.
Carson was later identified as Robert. The victim told police that someone had yelled out just before Robert stabbed him in the chest, a struggle ensued and the victim ran from the area while the suspect chased him with a second knife cutting him again, this time on the arm.
The victim managed to escape and later realized that he was injured. He was transported to the Guam Regional Medical City where he was treated and then released.
At the scene, police recovered a 9-inch knife with the name Berry Robert on it which court documents indicate is the alias for Arsolo.
It was the victim who notified police that Robert was spotted on Dec. 25 at R Daily Mart and according to police, they were able to track him down and arrest him.
Today, Robert was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with the special allegation of use of a deadly weapon. He maintained his innocence.
But court documents state that Robert admitted to stabbing the victim and was on probation for a 2017 aggravated assault case, having pled guilty in January to the offense.
