Arrest made in Tamuning stabbing incident


Police have made an arrest in the stabbing incident reported on Bonanza Apartments in Tamuning.

31-year-old Michael Robert has been arrested for aggravated assault.

Police responded to Bonanza Apartments for a stabbing which occurred at around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday.

“Preliminary police reports suggest that officers met with the victim who indicated that earlier that night, he was drinking alcohol with Michael Robert and for unknown reasons a physical altercation ensued with the victim being stabbed on the leg. The victim was later transported to Guam Memorial Hospital for treatment and care,” according to GPD spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao.

Information provided by the victim led police to an apartment within the complex where police located Robert.

Robert was transported to the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct Command where he was later arrested for aggravated assault

Robert was booked and confined to the DOC.
