Asan Rai Holds Off Air Force Reserves, MTM Mauls Yona

Hagatna, Guam –  The Guam Budweiser Masters Baseball League (GBMBL) in action with a doubleheader on Monday night at Paseo. In the first game, the Asan Rai defeated the Air Force Reserves, 18-10. 

Jess Lujan got the win, Frank Pangelinan took the loss. 

For the Rai, Andy Quintinilla was 1-3; an inside-the-park home run, three RBI, and a run scored. Ben Quintinilla was 2-3, a double, an RBI, and scored two runs. Ken Manibusan went 2-4, a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. Bruce Fejeran was 3-3, a triple, three RBI, and scored four runs. For the Air Force Reserves, Rob Castro was 2-3, and three runs scored. Stave Bamba was 1-1, a double, and an RBI. Jesse Bamba was 0-1, a SAC Fly, and an RBI. Joe Mantanona was 1-3, with an RBI.

In the nightcap, the MTM Falcons crushed the Yona Redhawks, 33-8, to take the 10-Run Rule win after five innings. The Falcons scored in the top of every inning, and sent more than nine batters to the plate in the 1st and 2nd innings. Chris Naputi got the win, Vic Fernandez suffered the loss.
