Guam – The Asan Rai broke out the sticks against the A.C.I. Masters in Saturday action of the Guam Masters Baseball League (GMBL) at the Paseo Stadium.
Asan’s offense scored in every inning posting the ten-run rule win 17-4 after five. The big inning came in the bottom of the third when Asan sent sixteen batters to the plate and scored eleven runs.
The Rai’s Joe Jardell went 3-for-4, two RBI, and two runs scored. A.C.I.’s Joe Uncangco was 2-for-3, a double, an RBI, and two runs scored.
In the nightcap, CTD Adahi scored seven runs in the top of the first and one more in the top of the second to hold off the Pohnpei Masters 8-6.
Adahi starter R.A. Meyer pitched the four maximum innings without giving up a run and was 3-for-3 at the plate, a double, RBI, and a run scored.
Herman Paul was 2-for-3, with a run scored.
In other games of the five-game Saturday schedule, Chevy Silverado edged out the PacSports Giants 8-7. The Triple J Blue Jays and the Yigo Hunters ended up in a 4-4 tie, and
Guahan Old School cruised to the 18-2 win over the Yona Red Hawks.
The action continues on Monday night with a doubleheader at Paseo Stadium starting at 6:00 p.m.
