Some residents down in Asan have been dealing with a significant water leak for quite some time, and those living in the area are hoping it will be resolved sooner than later.
For about a decade, clean, treated, drinking water has been running through the streets of Asan. The water runs down two different streets and produces green algae which are causing a safety concern among village residents.
Although it has been about 10 years since residents first noticed the free-flowing water and GW has been notified numerous times, very little has been done.
GWA has already spent $15,000 on previous repairs.
An endangered species of snail was found in and around the same area that crews must access to make repairs which is believed to play a part in stalling the repair work.
