Atty. Leslie Travis replaces Haig Huynh as Governor’s legal counsel

Lawyer Leslie Travis will be joining the administration as part of Adelup’s legal staff.

The governor’s chief legal counsel, Haig Hyunh, resigned last week to take on a job in the private sector.

Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero confirmed during Saturday’s news conference that Travis will be coming aboard this Monday.

Travis received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2002, and a J.D. from the University at Buffalo Law School, the State University of New York, in 2005. Attorney Travis is admitted to practice law in the local and federal courts of Guam and is also admitted to the State Bar of California.

She worked as a Staff Attorney for the Superior Court of Guam from 2005 to 2006, serving as Law Clerk to the Honorable Michael J. Bordallo. Ms. Travis served on the Adjudicative Panel of the Guam Bar Association’s Ethics Committee, and with the law firm Civille & Tang.
