Guam – The latest audit on returned checks at GovGuam reveals that the government suffered millions of dollars in losses.
The Office of Public Accountability issued its latest audit on returned checks on three GovGuam agencies, Department of Revenue and Taxation, Department of Administration, and the Office of the Attorney General Child Support Division’s State Disbursement Unit.
“The Department of Revenue and Taxation’s handling of returned checks has worsened compared to the conditions noted in our 2006 audit,” the executive summary of the report states.
