Guam – The Guam Power Authority reports that an auto collision near the San Vitores traffic circle damaged some of their switch gear this morning and cause a power outage to parts of Tamuning.
GPA Spokesman Art Perez reports that underground line crews are working to complete a “bypass” around the damaged switch hardware.
At no time did Guam memorial Hospital lose power, but customers along and around Pale San Vitores Loop down towards San Vitores Substation and towards the Guam Memorial Hospital did.
As of NOON today [Friday] power had been restored to nearby residents heading from the traffic circle towards GMH.
Customers from the traffic circle to the San Vitores Substation were not restored until 5 Friday afternoon.
