Guam – A man whose vehicle struck a concrete power pole in Upper Tumon Monday morning is recovering at GMH.
GMH Nursing Supervisor Shirley Pinera said the man appeared to have suffered a broken leg, and that he appears to be intoxicated. Although no condition had been assigned to him yet, she said his injuries were not life threatening.
The man’s silver sedan slammed into a power pole in front of K-Mart on Route 1 just after 6 am this morning.
Beer bottles were thrown from the vehicle and were strewn around the car after it came to rest.
The accident tied up traffic along that stretch of Marine Corps Drive while police conducted their investigation.
