Ballot Boxes Arriving At Election Central


Guam- Polls have closed at 8 pm and now, precincts Officials from all over the island are starting to pack the University of Guam Fieldhouse to turn in their village ballot boxes.

According to GEC Executive Director John Blas, about 50,033 people have registered to vote for the primary election. He estimates that between 75%-80% of registered voters would have casted their vote. Already 2,900 people have voted during the early in-office voting at the GEC Office.

Some of the precincts that have arrived as of 9:47 pm include Hagatna, Mangilao, Dededo, Merizo, Chalan Pago Ordot, Piti, Santa Rita, Tamuning, Umatac, Inarajan, and Agat.

The Guam Election Commission Board of Directors is also conducting its meeting at the UOG fieldhouse with all member present.
