Bank of Guam A’s Stop 76 Cardinals in BBL Action at Paseo Stadium


Guam (February 9, 2014) The Bank of Guam (BOG) A’s got their first win of the Budweiser Baseball League season beating the 76 Cardinals, 7-2 at Paseo Stadium. Paul Pangelinan got the win, going 8.0 innings giving up just one run, 2 hits, striking out 5, and only 4 walks. Jeremiah Pecina took the loss going just 1 1/3 innings, giving up 7 runs, 6 hits, striking out two.

For the Cardinals, CJ San Miguel was 1-for-3, a double, and a run scored. Jess Alerta went 1-for-3, and an RBI. For BOG, Ryan Martinez was 3-for-5, two doubles, 3 RBI, and a run scored. Mike Bautista went 1-for-4, with 3 RBI. Randy Alcantara was 1-for-2, scoring two runs. Nate Cruz was 2-for-3, an RBI, and a run scored.

The Cardinals scored 2 runs, on 3 hits, and committed one error. The Athletics scored 7 runs, on 12 hits, and committed 3 errors.
