Guam – Officials from the Bank of Guam presented a check for $100,000 to Guam Community College president Dr. Mary Okada, and Lolita Reyes, GCC Asst. Director of Development & Alumni Relations, Monday afternoon on the 10th Floor, Bank of Guam Building in Hagatna.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the Bank of Guam has supported GCC with a $100,000 donation. The money is being used to support the nursing and science programs in the Anthony A. Leon Guerrero Allied Health Center at GCC, according to GCC.

“Bank of Guam continually supports Guam Community College because the quality education it provides our students ultimately prepares them to be contributing citizens in the work force and our community,” said Lourdes Leon Guerrero, Bank of Guam President, in a statement. “Our support of the Anthony A. Leon Guerrero Allied Health Center directly benefits those that choose to improve the health care quality of life on our Island.”
“We are extremely grateful that the Bank of Guam continues to partner with us to help sustain the high quality learning environment we have created at GCC,” said Dr. Okada. “More than ever, it is partnerships like the one we have with the Bank of Guam that have helped GCC to be able to provide our island and our region with a skilled, educated workforce.”
