The Bank of Guam has rebranded its San Francisco branch to TASI Bank, a Division of Bank of Guam. TASI Bank’s business strategy will focus primarily on business-to-business (B2B) financial services while remaining committed to the same values as Bank of Guam, The People’s Bank.
The rebrand of TASI Bank won’t impact BOG account holders in our Guam, CNMI, and Neighboring Island regions. Beginning today, California account holders will be introduced to a name, website, and rebranded online and mobile platforms. California online and mobile users can now visit TASI Bank’s new website at TASI.bank using their existing login credentials.
“The announcement of TASI Bank today is another milestone in our ‘The Start of Something New’ campaign. As one of our long-term strategic goals, TASI Bank is also a significant reflection of Bank of Guam’s growth and expansion to compete beyond our existing markets,” stated Joaquin Cook, President & CEO of Bank of Guam.
The use of the CHamoru word Tåsi, meaning ocean, connects TASI Bank to its Guam roots. The logo, a wave, visually connects our cultures spanning 6,000 miles from Guam to San Francisco and honors the momentum and strength of the ocean, similar to the financial strength and progression of the Bank.
Serving strong for 38 years, TASI Bank, coined the oldest new bank in town, continues Bank of Guam’s legacy of service, acting as trusted advisors within the Bay Area community. John David “Dave” Joves, (BOG) Senior Vice President, California Regional Manager, has been named Division President for TASI Bank. Dave will continue to lead the California Region, alongside the same staff of 20 employees and from their same location in the heart of the San Francisco Financial District.
TASI Bank will center its financial services around a wide range of commercial opportunities throughout various business sectors, including commercial real estate, franchised gasoline service stations, hospitality (hotels and motels), as well as independent retail and wholesale firms.
The rebrand of TASI is a symbol of our Bank’s continuous commitment to support prosperity in the communities we serve while doing our best to live up to our legacy as The People’s Bank.
