Bank of Hawaii Volunteers Reach Out to Teach Children to Save – April 23

Guam – Employees of Bank of Hawaii today reached out to share the fundamentals of finance on Teach Children to Save Day.

Volunteers provided savings lessons to 3rd grade students from Captain Henry B. Price Elementary, Daniel L. Perez Elementary and Agana Heights Elementary Schools as part of the ABA (American Bankers Association) Education Foundation’s annual Teach Children to Save Program.

Teach Children to Save is a national program that organizes banker volunteers to help young people develop a savings habit early in life. Since the program started in 1997, some 123,000 bankers have taught savings skills to more than 5 million students.
