Guam- After launching the “SeeClickFix” program a few months ago, Senator Tina Muna Barnes will be hosting a round table discussion Wednesday at 10 a.m. to further promote the integration of green technology and community work in Guam.
It was just in October that Barnes presented the “SeeClickFix” application to the Mayors’ Council to help them take care of and improve their neighborhoods through the use of smart phones and computers. The software enables residents to speed up the process in which village problems are reported and work with mayors and other agencies to fix it.
Barnes says the round table is an opportunity for the mayors and other agencies, such as the Guam Power Authority (GPA), to air out their concerns and ideas on how to improve the program.
“Since the ‘SeeClickFix’ project has been introduced, several of the mayors have been able to identify some of the concerns” said Barnes. “GPA has been very, very positive in working this program. But they want to be able to continue to work with us as we move forward with this project.”
Barnes also has a round table discussion on her new beverage container law on Thursday, January 13 with the Guam Environmental Protection Agency (GEPA), the Department of Revenue and Taxation (DRT) and other stakeholders.
Both round table discussions will take place at the legislature’s public hearing room. Everyone is invited to attend.
