GVB reports that an estimated 8,000 Travelers and locals gathered in Tumon for the 3rd Annual Pleasure Island BBQ Block Party
This year’s BBQ Block Party was delayed from it’s original July 4th on account of rain-pour from tropical storm Chan-Hom. GVB held the event this past weekend and this time, the crowd poured in.
An estimated 8,000 locals and visitors attended the 3rd Annual Pleasure Island BBQ Block Party to experience Guam’s signature culinary dishes. The event kicked off with a T-Galleria Crowns Fashion show and followed with live entertainment throughout the evening. Guests enjoyed varieties of BBQ and the coveted award of BBQ Grill Master was won by the defending champion team, Asu. GVB plans that the event will grow annually and open up future opportunities for local chefs to compete and represent the island in future culinary competitions around the world.
