Benjamin T.P. Recanor Charged for Burglaries at Oceanview and Maria Ulloa Schools


Guam – Benjamin Thomas Perez Recanor has been charged with burglary and theft in connection with break-ins at Oceanview Middle School and Maria Ulloa Elementary.

According to the Magistrate complaint Recanor,  another man named Miguel Muna Castro and a person identified by the initials J.D.U. are all accused of involvement in multiple break-ins at Oceanview Middle School in Agat which occured between June 21 and June 24. During those break-ins electronics and US currency valued at $1,429 was stolen.

Neither Castro or J.D.U. are charged in this complaint.

In addition,  Recanor and another, un-named person, are accused of breaking into Maria Ulloa Elementary in Dededo  on June 19th where nearly $11-thousand dollars in cash and electronic items were stolen.

The complaint states that on July 18th, police received information from a witness who identified Recanor, Castro, Salas and J.D.U. as being responsible for the 2 school break-ins.

Then on July 25th,  police executed a search warrant at the residence where some of the suspects were staying and inside police found “numerous stolen items .. and Recanor admitted to his involvement in the burglaries,” states the complaint.
