Guam- One of the Philippines’ oldest and prestigious property developers is looking to invest in Guam.
Ayala Land International Sales President Rex Mendoza was the guest speaker at Wednesday afternoon’s Guam Contractors Association Meeting. He says he and his team are here to introduce their company to the local community as part of their global strategy, especially in light of the military buildup. He adds they will be looking for tracks of land and projects that need their help for completion.
“Ayala Land is the oldest, most prestigious, biggest full line property developer. We’ve done very well in the Philippines. Many of our signature projects are known to people here in Guam” said Mendoza. “We’re looking at two things: make sure that there is an opportunity here for us to be able to bring what we have there to Guam and also to also entice people here in Guam to look at our projects in the Philippines. It’s going to be a mutually beneficial relationship. I really guarantee you that.”
Mendoza also says he will be meeting with Governor Eddie Calvo Thursday. While he concludes his second trip to Guam on Sunday, some of his officials will stay behind to gain a better sense of their potential investments around the island.
