Acting Governor Josh Tenorio has signed into law a measure that will allow business privilege tax credits to be issued to those who make a contribution to the renovation of the University of Guam Calvo Field House.

Bill 204-35 was introduced by Sen. Joe San Agustin. It is now Public Law 35-62.

The new law authorizes up to $400,000 in BPT credits to be issued over the next two years to businesses that donate funds to help renovate the field house.

The renovations are needed to support the Guam Basketball Confederation’s bid to host the Asia Cup Qualifiers in February of next year.
