Guam – During a special presentation the Black Construction corporation presented the Port Authority of Guam with the prestigious eagle award, which was won by black construction earlier this year.

The eagle award is the highest honor in the nation given to the construction company in a given category. Black Construction was one of 3 companies who worked to complete the Guam Commercial Port Improvement Project, which finished in December of 2015. Black Construction submitted the GCPI project to the national excellence in construction competition, taking home the top eagle award honor in the ‘government work over 20 million dollars’ category. This is the second eagle award given to black construction company in the last 20 years.

“I just want to say thank you to the Port of Guam, this award and this project reflects very well on the port, the chairman the board and the general manage Joanne Brown, as Mark said we cannot do this work without the help of the port,” said Senior Project Manager Dean Bates.
