Guam – New York Times bestselling author and anti-bullying activist Jodee Blanco was here on Guam last week to speak to the community on school bullying survival and prevention.
Blanco says she was a victim of severe school bullying from 5th grade through high school for being different. However, she channeled her experience into a positive one by authoring her book, “Please Stop Laughing at Me” and developing an anti bullying program to help people around the world.
Blanco mentions she was invited to speak to several schools on island about her message of igniting compassion.
The Chicago resident also says she’s a strong animal rights activist and wanted to share this additional message about not ignoring guam’s stray dog population.
