CNMI – Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Department of Public Safety officers found an unresponsive individual along Beach Road in Garapan while doing a routine patrol on Tuesday, May 28 at approximately 10:53 p.m.
After receiving no verbal response from the individual, the officer checked for breathing and a pulse. Upon noticing no pulse present, the officer immediately notified the CNMI DPS central office and requested for assistance to be dispatched to the location.
According to a release, the medics arrived at around 11:03 p.m. and were briefed by the officers on the incident. The crime scene technicians and Criminal Investigative Bureau (CIB) detectives also arrived to conduct further investigation.
At approximately 11:18 p.m., the body was brought to CHC for further examination.
CNMI DPS said it is currently looking into the case.
