Bombers & Typhoons ii Advance In Bud Light Golden Hoops Classic Spring Tournament

Guam (March 5, 2014) The Bud Light Golden Hoops Classic Spring Tournament continued Playoff action at the Tamuning Gym. The Andersen Bombers advanced in their quarterfinal game, defeating Team Justice, 70-57. The Bombers were led by Ollie Bradley who led everyone with 21 points. Teammates Ledget Glover dropped in 17, and Brian Cooper added 10. For Team Justice, Bradley Aflague netted 14 points with Shaun Perez adding 11 pts.

In the other quarterfinal, the Tamuning Typhoons II stormed past the Sticky Bandits, 96-65. James Stake had the hot hand sinking 8-three-pointers, five in-a-row, to finish the night with 28 points. For the rest of the Typhoons, Will Stinnett had 24, Earvin Jose with 16, and Daniel Del Carmen adding 14.

Typhoons II advances to the winner’s bracket semifinal in the double-elimination format and will face the Andersen Bombers at 6PM on Sunday, March 9, 2014.

The Bandits will face the Andersen Hawks in a loser’s bracket semifinal at 4PM on Sunday, March 9, 2014.

The Tamuning Typhoons I will face Team Justice in the other loser’s bracket semifinal at 5PM on Sunday, March 9, 2014.

The winner of the Hawks/Bandits game will face the winner of the Typhoons I/Team Justice game at 7PM, Sunday, March 9, 2014. All games played at the Tamuning Gym. In other playoff games:
